So lets be honest, there are advantages and disadvantages to having photographed your wedding venue before. Some wedding couples book me with the knowledge that I’ve photographed their wedding venue countless times, adding a firm assurance that I know the venue like a back of a hand. I totally understand that, and with that I also strive to not do the same photographs as the previous clients I photographed at the same wedding venue, a week or month previous.
However, I have to say, I love keeping things totally fresh, and for me, there is no other way than to photograph a wedding at a venue that I haven’t photographed at before. I’m like a kid in a candy shop. Eyes wide open, I strive to search out all the nooks and crannies and best possible vantage point for each and every moment. Having photographed nearly 1000 weddings now, my experience in finding these new perspectives is second to none, it keeps me alive so to speak and to thrive and to capture the new (for me!) wedding venue in a innovative fresh way. I say this really as an act of assurance to any wedding couple who are thinking about booking me, but with a slight doubt, that I haven’t photographed your wedding venue before. Please put that doubt behind you and rest in the knowledge that I come 100% focused and energised to photograph your big day.
Chloe and Alex, did just that. Whilst Blackwell Grange is relatively local to me, I’d never had the opportunity to photograph a wedding there. I arrived in the morning absolutely buzzing, eager to photograph their special wedding day…
